I thought that everyone might enjoy seeing all of the babies that we have at the farm so far! we are still waiting for the rest of the cows to have their babies. and we will be having chicks a few more times this summer.
The chicks are doing great!
The small chicks are the red broiler and cornish cross meat chickens, they are 2 days old. The larger ones are my egg layers. we should have a good assortment of egg layers and a cool looking flock this summer.
The goat babies are growing good. we are raising 6 babies on 2 mommies. Baby goats are so much fun!The pigs are getting big. We are getting ready to breed 3 of the pigs. We hope to get babies by August some time.
The first calf of the year! we will be calving 23 cows this year, they are angus hereford cross. this calf is barely a week old. This is a Texas Dall Sheep. The sheep we have at the farm are unique, they have hair instead of wool. These sheep produce great meat and do'nt require any shearing, they look pretty cool too!
Pretty cool... I have to say though, for as cute as the little chicks are, I can't wait till they hit the grill! Don't get too attached, Troy.
ReplyDeleteWhy do they have to grow up?? So cute!
