Pigs

   We are now in the pig business! I have always had an interest in raising pigs and now I get to do it! we will be offering "old farm" style raised pigs this means that our pigs are raised outdoors in paddocks with shelters to get out of the elements. Our pigs are healthy and happy and produce amazing flavor in their meat because they are allowed to do natural "pig" things like root in the dirt and move around naturally.
   We will be raising pigs this year by pre order only and will be available as a whole pig only. If you want less than a whole pig get together with a friend or two and split it.

Whole Pig (apprx 130 pounds)
  Pork shoulder - fresh as pork steaks or roast (picnic and butt roast)
                          cured as country or cottage bacon
  Pork loin - chops and/or roast
  Pork sirloin - chops and/or roast
  Pork belly - fresh as side pork                            
                     cured as bacon
  Pork leg - fresh as leg of pork roast and/or steak
                 cured as ham roast and/or
  Misc
     spare ribs
     country style ribs
     sausage

All of the pigs will be processed by a certified butcher at a certified processing facility I can arrange for butchering and deliver the pig to the facility.

Our pork is raised without antibiotics and hormones in their feed. we do administer antibiotics as needed if the pigs get sick so that the illness does'nt spread to the other animals. We feed a vegetarian diet that is milled by a local feed mill here in Cache Valley. We suppliment the normal feed ration with expired bread from the local grocery stores as well as offer hay for bedding and a green snack!
